Importers can enjoy several benefits from storing and/or manufacturing goods in a bonded warehouse, such as:

• Deferment of duties and tariffs until withdrawal of imported goods for consumption or sale
• Addressing issues of import permissibility, such as missing licenses or permits
• Waiting out tariffs that are projected to be lowered or done away with, since rates are determined at the time of withdrawal rather than importation
