The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is a federal agency responsible for the security and safety of the traveling public for all modes of transportation in the U.S.

The TSA’s different duties include:

Securing air cargo,
Inspecting other modes of transport (rail, maritime, and mass transit)
Screening passengers and baggage at airports.
